Are you Scared, Little Girl?

My entry to 's nightmare contest which you may find here [link] I had to finish it quickly because I was running out of time (ended on the 13th) or so I thought. Has it been extended? >:/ I had no idea.

I did my best with this one and in a way, I'm quite proud of it. I wanted to go for something that wasn't really uberly creepy in picture but in thought was very much so.

Have you ever looked in the mirror and seen someone else? Have you ever looked in the mirror and seen someone who hate with all your heart staring right back at you? Have you ever realized that person you hate is what you are? That's essentially the idea behind the picture.

Alright so the person in the picture is my character (I wanted to draw one of Lea's at first but I couldn't do them justice, I just felt awful in the end and went for my own) and her name is Vanessa Rosswood, you guys may have seen her before in Run Away from Reality and such. In this picture she's punching a mirror that doesn't have her reflection in it. It may seem like she's angry (and partially she is) but mainly she's afraid which is why I chose to hide her eyes. Thing is, the lady in the mirror is her mother and let's be honest here, she's not exactly mother of the year. Her mind became warped the more and more she used dark magic. It changes you; the more you use it, the more you have to use it, the darker your skin and hair become and the redder your eyes become.

Vanessa killed this woman because of the years of torture she had put her and her brother through but later discovered she had the same power. Now the picture makes more sense. She looks into the mirror and sometimes sees the person who gives her chills; the one she detests the most and becomes so afraid that's exactly what she'll become in the future.

For those that can't read it, the text in the background says: "Look at me, fear me, loathe me" and at the bottom "love me, hate me, break me".
